95% efficient DC-DC constant current LED drivers

Expanding their product portfolio following the launch of the LDD series DC-DC Buck type LED converters, MEAN WELL has announced the LDH-45 series Boost type DC-DC constant current LED drivers. Operating over a temperature range from -40°C to +70°C by only free air convection, the LDH-45 series feature extremely high efficiency of up to 95%.

Featuring 350mA/500mA/700mA/1050mA output current and built-in PWM and Analog dimming functions, the LDH-45 series are availble with a 9 – 18VDC input for LDH-45A-X models and 18 – 32VDC input for LDH-45B-X models. Satisfying the demands of energy-saving dimming designs for lighting fixtures, ON/OFF remote control and output current adjustment can be realised by connecting the external PWM signal or 0.25~1.3VDC analog voltage.

While all series are potted to offer better heat dissipation, anti-dust and anti-moisture protection, they offer two kinds of input/output packages for selection and other standard functions such as short circuit, over voltage, and input under voltage protections. A built-in EMI filter allows these LED drivers, without needing to connect any external EMI restraint components, to comply with EMI requirements per EN55015 lighting regulation.

Target applications for the LDH-45 series include street lighting, landscape lighting, tunnel lighting, household lighting, and off-grid LED garden lights or LED street lights powered by solar charging.

There are 8 models in the LDH-45 series offering output currents of 350mA, 500mA, 700mA or 1050mA, input voltages of 9 – 18VDC or 18 – 32VDC, efficiencies ranging from 90% to 95%, and output voltages between 12 VDC and 126VDC.

Available now in Pin style or Wire style packages with dimensions of 75 mm x 53 mm x 22.7 mm, the LDH-45 series Boost type DC-DC constant current LED drivers are CE approved. The LED drivers also feature a UL94-V0 level plastic case and come with a 3 year warranty.
