The EyeScan AT 3D camera can also inspect the surface of objects such as gingerbread. Due to the baking process, ginger bread becomes slightly uneven and needs to be measured again for the subsequent sugar icing decoration. To measure and decorate the biscuit, the robot should position itself above the ginger bread with the camera system.
The EyeScan AT 3D camera can also be used for adhesive bead and weld seam inspection, solar cell control and tire and rubber inspection. The user can combine the 3D-surface inspection of embossed inscription with the OCR Reader command. With the z-values of the 3D-inspection a contrast is generated, which can then be recognised by the OCR-tool as lettering.
