The AD4081 20-bit, 20 MSPS successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converters (ADC) from Analog Devices are designed for high-performance data acquisition systems.
They are in stock at authorised distributor DigiKey.
These ADCs offer a dynamic range of 94.6 dBFS and low noise spectral density (NSD) of -164.6 dBFS/Hz, making them suitable for applications requiring accurate, wide-bandwidth signal conversion.
The AD4081 ADCs integrate features that simplify system design, including Easy Drive differential inputs, a low-drift reference buffer, and internal supply decoupling. The continuous acquisition architecture reduces driver settling requirements, while integrated digital filtering and decimation enable oversampling for noise reduction without external components.
The ADC features 20-bit resolution with no missing codes and a low power consumption of 68.6 mW (typical) at 20 MSPS. Also featured are integrated reference buffer, common-mode voltage (VCM) generation, and supply decoupling. Operating temperature range is- 40 to +85°C.
Applications cover high-speed data acquisition systems, digital imaging and spectroscopy, automated test equipment (ATE), power quality analysis and source measurement units, and radar level measurement and non-destructive testing.
