The MAX9621 protects sensors from supply transients up to 60V and short-to-ground conditions, which enables it to withstand the harsh operating conditions in automotive applications. The device features a minimum of 50microseconds blanking time following Hall-effect sensor power-up or restart. A low-current (1microamp, typ) shutdown mode conserves power.
Available in a 3mm x 5mm, 10-pin microMAX(R) package, the MAX9621 operates from a 5.5V to 18V supply and is fully specified over the -40 degrees Celsius to +125 degrees Celsius automotive temperature range. Pricing starts at $0.87 (1000-up, FOB USA). Evaluation kits are available upon request.
