D/A converter offers value without compromise

Extending the existing nanoDAC product portfolio, the AD5683R D/A converter from ADI delivers high performance in a smaller package. The 16-bit, single-channel, nanoDAC+ boasts relative accuracy of ±2-LSB INL, a 2-ppm/°C 2.5-V reference and a space saving LFCSP package.

This combination of features enables analog designers to address a wider range of applications without having to trade accuracy for footprint. With 16-, 14-, 12- and 10-bit options available, the AD5683R D/A converter provides a versatile, pin-compatible upgrade/downgrade path for a range of markets including communications infrastructure, industrial process control, healthcare and instrumentation.

With I2C versions available soon, the device includes a 2-mV total unadjusted error which eliminates the need for initial calibration/adjustment. Providing system robustness, the device features a 4-KV HBM ESD rating in a 2-mm × 2-mm 8-lead LFCSP and 10-lead MSOP. These packaging options allow for more functionality with smaller board/module sizes.

The AD5683R can be designed into circuits for PLC I/O card applications with the AD5750-2 single-channel, low cost, precision voltage/current output driver amplifier.
