As well as the low-power, 32-bit ARM926EJ-S core running at 200MHz (0°C to +70°C) and 150MHz (-20°C to +85°C), the new micro offers 32Kbytes of embedded RAM for program, data and display memory. A memory controller supports SDR and DDR SDRAM and up to 2.5Gbytes of linear access space can be addressed.
Integrated features of use in MMI designs include a built-in LCD controller, a touch screen interface, a CMOS camera interface and an LCD data processor accelerator (LCDA). The LCD controller is suitable for TFT and STN display sizes up to 1024 x 768 pixels. The LCDA supports resolutions to WVGA (800×480) and delivers image scaling, filtering and blending functions.
Connectivity options include SPI, UART, I2C, I2S, and a high-speed USB device (480Mbps). Additional built-in peripherals include a 10-bit ADC, a six-channel, 16-bit timer, a watchdog timer, real time clock and alarm functionality.
Supplied in a 361-pin FPGA package the TMPA912CMAXBG is supported by extensive software tools that includes graphics libraries and embedded operating systems, the new device is supported through the availability of a Starter Kit and Reference Platform that further speed application development and prototyping.
The TMPA912CMAXBG is pin compatible with the TMPA910CRBXBG, TMPA911CRXBG and TMPA913CHXBG.
