MYIR has expanded its Rockchip series System-On-Module (SOM) family with the release of two new modules, the MYC-YR3562 and MYC-YR3506.

Based on Rockchip's RK3562 and RK3506 processors, respectively, these SOMs deliver high performance and flexibility for a wide range of applications.

The MYC-YR3506 is a cost-effective, power-efficient SOM designed for entry-level multimedia and IoT applications. It features the RK3506 SoC with a triple-core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU running at up to 1.5GHz. Equipped with a 2D graphic engine and support for display interfaces such as RGB and MIPI-DSI, it is compatible with a range of screens. Basic connectivity options include dual 10/100Mbps Ethernet, dual USB 2.0, dual CAN, and six UART interfaces. Ideal for energy-efficient, battery-powered devices, the MYC-YR3506 is commonly used in low-cost smart displays, IoT devices, and simple multimedia systems.

The MYC-YR3562 is an advanced SOM designed for mid-range applications, delivering enhanced performance and versatility. It features the RK3562 processor with a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU, a 3D GPU, and a dedicated NPU supporting AI and machine learning tasks with up to 1 TOPS computational power. The module provides comprehensive connectivity options, including Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, dual CAN, and up to 10 UART ports. Equipped with versatile display interfaces (RGB, LVDS, MIPI-DSI) and camera inputs (MIPI-CSI), it also supports 4K video decoding and 1080p encoding. This cost-efficient solution is ideal for industrial automation, IoT gateways, edge computing, and related technology-driven applications.

Both SOMs run the Linux operating system. Tailored for different market segments, the MYC-YR3506 focuses on lightweight, cost-effective solutions, while the MYC-YR3562 targets more demanding applications with higher performance and advanced features. Users can select MYIR's Rockchip processor-based SOMs according to their specific requirements.

MYIR offers dedicated development boards, MYD-YR3506 and MYD-YR3562, designed for evaluating their corresponding SOMs, along with comprehensive documentation and software packages to empower users to kickstart their projects efficiently. MYIR delivers the MY-ICEB001 expansion board for the RK3562J-powered MYD-YR3562. This robust enriches connectivity with three USB 2.0 ports, one RS232 port, two RS485 ports, two CAN interfaces, and an M.2 socket supporting USB-based 4G/5G LTE Modules with a SIM card holder. These enhancements dramatically expand the board’s versatility, providing users with the flexibility to tailor the solution to their unique project needs.

MYIR provides a range of flexible configurations for its SOMs, tailored to diverse memory and storage demands. The entry-level model MYC-YR3506B-256N256D-150-C is priced at $12.80 per unit, with bulk discounts available to ensure cost-effective procurement. For specialised requirements, we offer tailored customisation solutions to precisely match your project scale and technical specifications.
