This allows many audio processing algorithms to be executed using significantly fewer instructions. ADU145x devices execute up to three times more audio-processing algorithms than their previous SigmaDSP processors.
The processors are the first in a family of SigmaDSP audio processors that allow simultaneous processing of both time-domain and frequency-domain algorithms. This power-efficient DSP core can execute complex code while consuming only a few hundred milliwatts of power, and can operate at maximum program load while consuming less than a watt. The 1.2V, 32‑bit DSP core can run at frequencies of up to 294.912 MHz, and execute up to 6,144 instructions per sample at the standard sample rate of 48 kHz.
Other features of the ADU145x family include flexible clock generators, a hardware audio routing matrix, highly-configurable serial ports, 16 general-purpose input/output (GPIO) pins, and independent slave and master I2C/SPI control ports for communication. The ADU145x family of devices have an operating temperature of -40°C to +105°C, and are available in a small, 72-lead LFCSP package.
The ADU145x family target automotive audio processing and commercial and professional audio processing applications, including DSP amplifiers, vehicle entertainment systems, soundbars, noise cancellation systems, and navigation systems. All the devices are applicable for use as general-purpose DSPs that require reduced power consumption.
