The microprocessors, available from Mouser Electronics, feature Renesas’ exclusive Dynamically Reconfigurable Processor for AI (DRP-AI), which enables the microprocessor to support various image processing uses, including colour correction and noise reduction of input/output images.
This attribute allows designers to use an inexpensive camera module without requiring an external image signal processor to interpret sensor data — a key to integrating AI into a wide range of cost power-constrained Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
Driving the RZ/V2L microprocessors is a 1.2 GHz dual-core ArmCortex-A55 CPU with an Arm Mali-G31 3D graphics engine.
The RZ/V2L microprocessors are available in 15 mm × 15 mm or 21 mm × 21 mm BGA packages, both of which are pin-compatible with the Renesas RZ/G2L to allow easy upgrading and software reusability without modifying the system configuration.
