The rapid confluence of AI and the IoT have not only fueled an increasing demand for various smart application and smart devices and servers, but also increased performance demand in computing power and transfer speed. In response to the successive upgrade in Intel’s and AMD’s servers, desktop processors, and mobile processors platforms, Apacer has outpaced its competitors in the mass production of DDR4-2666 memory modules for server and industry applications.

Apacer’s DDR4-2666 memory is compatible with the latest Intel Purley and AMD EPYC processor platforms, fully highlighting the Company’s ambition to the top supplier for the long-awaited overhaul in the global server market and officially propelling industrial memory into the high-performance, high-bandwidth realm of DDR4-2666.

DRAMeXchange, a division of TrendForce, predicts that the global shipping volume of servers could reach 5.53% in 2018 amidst industrial transformation and the rising popularity of smart applications, which would drive growth in server memory of up to 28.6%. That growth would top all memory products.

The strong demand for server memory is not only fueled by the server demands of data centers but also associated with the upgrade of Intel and AMD server platforms.

Apacer’s comprehensive upgrade of server and industrial memory modules to the DDR4-2666 specification not only caters to the next generation of server platforms, specifically, Intel Purley and AMD EYPC, but also increases transfer rates to 2666 M/s, which is 11% higher than the previous-generation DDR4-2400 specification. The new-generation memory modules outperform the older generation in speed, efficiency, and power conservation.

Confident that DDR4-2666 memory will become the mainstream specification, Director of the Vertical Market Application Business Division, Cindy Huang, explains that the launch of Intel’s and AMD’s latest processing platforms will be compatible with the DDR4-2666 specification. These updates will lead to a rise in demand for server replacement.

They are also immensely important for the development of memory technologies. In recent years, the development of AI has shifted from cloud applications to edge computing applications. It is also gradually converging with IoT.

Therefore, how to incorporate servers, embedded systems, and terminal smart application devices to alleviate increasing workloads has become a critical problem for many enterprises. The demand for high-performance, low-power-consumption, and low-latency memory will inevitably rise, becoming the foremost driving force of growth in the memory market.

Apacer leads the industry in mass producing native DDR4-2666 memory modules for server and industrial applications for all its products. Apacer’s modules are compatible with a variety of products and meet JEDEC memory specifications.

They support UDIMM, SODIMM, RDIMM, LRDIMM, ECC UDIMM, and ECC SODIMM specifications and range from 2 GB to 64 GB capacity choices. These products are targeted to satisfy the replacement demands of servers, industrial computers, and smart devices.

By taking advantage of its dominance in vertical application markets, such as IoT, healthcare, transportation, national defense, and gaming, and drawing on its superior customisation capabilities and immense industrial experiences, Apacer aims to preemptively gain a leading position in this wave of smart innovative development and be fully prepared for era of DDR4-2666.
