Intelligent Memory (IM) will showcase its new microSD and SD cards with capacities of 512MB, 1GB and 2GB at embedded world 2024 in Nuremberg in hall 1, booth 340 from April 9 to 11.

The new memory cards from IM are tailored to the use of industrial customers and are available in industrial temperature. These cards will be available for at least ten years without change to the bill of materials (BOM).

Today, applications like medical equipment or machine vision cameras sometimes need to be re-designed or re-qualified just because the SD cards in the system are only available for a couple of years. New memory card generations often come in higher densities, which OEMs have to pay for even though it’s not needed for their product. With its longevity 512MB, 1GB and 2GB microSD and SD cards in industrial temperature range, Intelligent Memory is closing this gap in memory products for industrial embedded applications. The microSD cards are sampling today, while the SD cards will be available in samples in Q2.

“Memory cards have been designed for consumer electronics but have proven to be very useful in industrial applications like embedded systems based on Rasberry Pi or Arduino, digital signage or data loggers,” explained David Raquet, Global Vice President Sales and Marketing. “With our new microSD and SD cards, customers only need to qualify their designs once, and then can use it almost forever.”

Intelligent Memory focuses on supporting industrial customers and their applications with legacy memory products. It is one of the few memory manufacturers that offers DRAM components as well as DRAM modules ranging from SDRAM to DDR5 and LPDDR4(x) components in addition to its customisable NAND flash memory portfolio.
