Legrand has announced the launch of User Interface, a new business unit dedicated to supporting developers, specifiers and contractors to keep up with the growing demand for smart technology. According to research by GfK Global, the European market for smart devices was set to grow from €122 to €133bn in value in 2019, a figure which they say has since grown due to changing living and working conditions related to COVID-19.

With this huge growth in smart home technology set to continue, User Interface will bring together Legrand’s specialist team of smart building experts alongside its easy-to-install home automation products into one business unit.

Designed to offer customers a complete package of functional, connected and smart solutions, the new business unit will include the MyHOME_Up home automation range, Netatmo connected devices, Nuvo audio systems, Bticino door entry systems, and Arteor & Synergy wiring accessories.

Along with smart building products, User Interface will give developers and specifiers a range of stylish and simple use door entry systems. Wiring accessories especially designed to coordinate with the aesthetics of all smart products will also be available. Providing added safety and security assurance of the end user, these accessories help deliver a full system to integrate with the interior design requirement of any space.

Richard Hayward, Sales Director for User Interface, explained: “At Legrand, we are very aware that the home automation and smart building industries are growing exponentially. To make sure our clients are equipped with all of the products and training that they require to keep up with this industry, the new User Interface business unit brings together our building-enhancing devices and systems for their occupants.

“With a specialist team who can advise on and support projects, we can offer comprehensive, end-to-end expertise for developers and contractors working on both residential and commercial projects. Complementing the other business units that come under the Legrand name, User Interface is our way of demonstrating our expertise and specialism in the home and building automation sector long into the future.”
