Advantech WISE-4250 dual-band industrial Wi-Fi I/O module


 
Advantech has introduced the new WISE-4250 dual band-based industrial Wi-Fi I/O module with integrated sensors. The WISE-4250 features interchangeable I/O and sensors integrated with IoT data acquisition, processing and publishing. Data can be sent directly from Edge to Cloud with higher security and no loss functions. All Wi-Fi channels can be flexibly connected with a smart roaming function. Users can directly configure products with devices via a HTML5 based web page user interface. Products support RESTful API in JSON format for any IoT integration. Read more.

Würth introduces MEMS humidity sensor capacitor series


Würth Elektronik is launching a compact, cost-effective digital humidity sensor in the WSEN-HIDS series.The MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical System) humidity sensor measures with a precision of ±1.8% RH in the 20 - 80% relative humidity range. The DFN (Dual Flat No Leads) package for SMT assembly measures just 1.5 x 1.5 x 0.5 mm. The sensor works with a current of only 0.4 µA and can be operated with a power supply between 1.08 and 3.6 V. So it is ideally suited for distributed IoT sensor networks, such as those in smart farming applications. Read more.

Renesas introduces RZ/G3S microprocessor for IoT devices


 
Renesas introduces a new 64-bit general-purpose microprocessor (MPU) for IoT edge and gateway devices that consumes significantly less power.As the latest addition to Renesas’ RZ/G Series MPU, the RZ/G3S is designed to meet the demanding requirements of modern IoT devices, offering power consumption as low as 10µW (microwatts) in standby mode and fast startup for the Linux operating system. The new MPU comes with a PCI Express interface that enables high-speed connectivity with 5G wireless modules. Additionally, the device boasts enhanced security features such as tamper detection to ensure data security.
