Kontron's Panel PC Series FlatClient PRO, designed for new performance level with Industrial-grade Panel PCs with 11th gen Intel processors, are aiming to assist in demanding control and visualisation tasks.

Kontron now offers 11th gen Intel processors (former codename Tiger Lake) for its FlatClient PRO Panel PC series, designed to meet the increasing demands for graphics and computing power in industrial environments. The robust Panel PCs with full-metal housing are easy to clean and disinfect with their scratch-resistant and joint-free front made of continuous tempered glass, Kontron assert. The displays with anti-glare and anti-fingerprint surface finish in formats from 10.1" to 23.8" are designed to allow easier readability even under difficult lighting conditions and offer detailed visualisation with WXGA/Full-HD resolution.

The new models of the FlatClient PRO Panel PC series are equipped with 11th gen Intel Core i7-1185G7E / i5-1145G7E or Intel Celeron 6305E processors. The Core processors support Intel Iris Xe graphics and enable operating additional high-resolution displays and playing high-definition videos.

In addition to two DisplayPorts and two Ethernet interfaces with 2.5 and 1GbE respectively, the all-in-one Panel PCs also have four USB 3.2 ports. Fast NVMe SSDs with up to 1TByte are used for mass storage, and wireless connections via Wi-Fi 5/6 and Bluetooth can also be integrated.

With their closed, fanless metal housing and robust system design, the FlatClient Panel PCs achieve an extended service life and high system availability even in harsh industrial environments and have already proven themselves thousands of times, reports Kontron. The Human Machine Interfaces are available either as built-in or stand-alone units with VESA mounting, making them able to integrate into a wide range of industrial environments.

The anti-glare and scratch-resistant display are designed to offer IP65 protection, so-called 'dirt corners' or 'dirty edges' are avoided by an entirely flush glass front as well as bevelled housing surfaces. The projected capacitive multi-touch can also be operated with gloves, detects drops (drop rejection) and palms (palm rejection) and is claimed to therefore ensure safe operability.

Customized solutions can be implemented, from flexibility in display size, computing performance and memory expansion, to application-specific touch settings, I/O adaptations, security hardening of BIOS and operating system, software installation, individual branding, customized service and repair kits and special packaging.
