Taiwanese industrial computing specialist IBASE Technology has introduced a new compact Edge computer, the ACS100, targeting automation control and industrial IoT deployments.
The system, which measures 167 x 110 x 54 mm, supports USB Type-C connectivity with DisplayPort Alternate Mode and power delivery up to 60W, enabling both data transfer and bidirectional power through a single cable.
The feature allows users to connect and power peripherals such as industrial monitors, sensors, or downstream modules without additional adapters, simplifying cabling and system integration in space-constrained environments.
The ACS100 is powered by Intel’s Core 3 N355 and Atom N150 or N97 processors, offering processing performance comparable to IBASE’s larger ACS200 model but in a smaller chassis. The system supports 19V to 24V DC power input and comes with a range of interfaces, including two COM ports, two USB 3.2 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, three M.2 sockets, and a Nano SIM slot.
IBASE said the new model supports high-brightness industrial displays from 15.6in to 27in, including its own IPPL-W156, IPPL-W215, and IPPL-W270 screens, which can be powered directly via USB-C.
The company is positioning the ACS100 for a range of applications, including Edge vision systems, industrial automation, digital signage, and smart building infrastructure. In factory settings, for instance, the unit can connect to actuators, human-machine interfaces, and sensor hubs via a single streamlined connection.
