Mouser Electronics is now stocking the Sentrius MG100 Gateway from Laird Connectivity.

Based on a Laird Connectivity Pinnacle 100 cellular modem, the MG100 Gateway combines long-range Bluetooth 5 and LTE-M/NB-IoT connectivity in a small-form-factor IoT micro-gateway.

The Laird Connectivity Sentrius MG100 Gateway captures data from Bluetooth 5-enabled sensors and transmits to the cloud through a global low-power cellular data (LTE-M/NB-IoT) connection.

The gateway is based on a Laird Connectivity Pinnacle 100 cellular modem, which integrates a Nordic Semiconductor nRF52840 system-on-chip (SoC) with its Arm Cortex-M4F core to provide full Bluetooth 5 communication capabilities.

The modem also provides LTE-M/NB-IoT connectivity via an integrated Sierra Wireless HL7800 and, for hostless design simplicity, enables application development directly on the microcontroller using Zephyr real-time operating system (RTOS).

The MG100 Gateway includes regulatory approvals for FCC, ISED, and CE and cellular approvals PTCRB, GCF and AT&T to date, with additional carrier certifications to come.

Mouser also offers the Laird Connectivity MG100 Wireless IoT Starter Kit, now available to order, which includes a Sentrius MG100 Gateway and three Sentrius BT510 sensors. The kit's three Sentrius BT510 sensors enable reliable wireless sensor data transfer even in harsh environments with their innovative IP67-rated enclosures.

The BT510 sensors comprise a multi-function sensor (temperature, motion/shock, and open/close contact) platform and is based on Laird Connectivity's field-proven long-range BL654 module. The ultra-low-power Sentrius BT510 sensor is powered by a replaceable CR2477 coin cell battery, enabling multi-year performance with simple, intuitive maintenance.

The Sentrius MG100 Gateway and MG100 Wireless IoT Starter Kit are ideal for multi-wireless IoT applications where long-range Bluetooth sensors bridge directly to the cellular network without the need to access any local network infrastructure.

Target applications include cold chain transportation monitoring, long-range battery-powered sensors, predictive maintenance, and industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
