Incorporating both electrical and mechanical elements for fine and coarse tuning, the DRO11000A dielectric resonator VCO has been released by Z-Communications. Designed to cover 11000MHz, the device features a low phase noise of -104dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset. While typically consuming 23mA of current, the VCO operates from a 5VDC supply.

Guaranteed to operate over the industrial temperature range of -40 to 85°C, the DRO11000A delivers a typical output power of +2dBm into a 50Ω load. Covering the optimised frequency with a tuning voltage range of 0-12VDC and a tuning gain of 0.8 MHz/V, the VCO suppresses the second harmonic to better than -30dBc.

Suitable for radar system applications, the VCO is offered in Z-COMM's 0.91x0.91x0.51” surface mount SDRO package.
