Ultra-stable TCXOs aim at low-jitter applications

Two temperature compensated crystal oscillators (TCXOs) from Rakon are available with full design support at Richardson RFPD. The E7028LF and the voltage-controlled E7157LF are part of Rakon’s RHT1490 product series of TCXOs that offer output frequencies from 50MHz to 204.8MHz.

They deliver telecommunications grade stability with a low RMS phase jitter of <200fs (12kHz–20MHz). The lower system jitter allows communications system architects to optimise noise budget and performance.

Output frequency of the E7028LF is 98.304 Hz and 100MHz for the E7157LF.

Significantly improved TCXO airflow resistance, reduces transient impact on frequency stability and the package size is 14.4mm x 9.2mm x 4.7mm max.
