Wideband amplifier operates from DC to 50GHz
A new wideband amplifier from M/A-COM Technology Solutions is in stock at distributor Richardson RFPD along with full design support. The MAAM-011109-DIE is an easy-to-use, wideband amplifier that operates from DC to 50GHz and features 15dB of gain, +21 dBm P1dB (+15 dBm @ 40 GHz), with 22dB of reverse isolation, 15dB return loss, and OIP3 of +29dBm at 5V/190mA with VG1 = -0.4V.
The new amplifier includes a gate bias adjust to change current setting for power or temperature, a gain trim control that allows 15dB of gain control (0 to -1V), and a temperature-compensated power detector that provides a DC voltage in relation to the output power.
The device is ideally suited for any application that requires 50Ω gain from DC to 50 GHz. It is useful in circuits where the incoming signal varies over a broad bandwidth, including laboratory, instrumentation and defense applications.
The MAAM-011109-DIE measures 1.97mm x 1.30mm x 0.1mm and has gold-plated contact pads and backside.
