RF solution supports 4G smartphone

Qorvo has announced that it has commenced volume production of the RF Fusion complete RF Front End (RFFE) solution in support of a flagship 4G smartphone from a top-five smartphone manufacturer. The flagship smartphone is expected to launch in the first half of calendar 2015.

Qorvo's 1st gen RF Fusion solution, the RF7501C, integrates all major transmit and receive RF functionality for low-band and mid-band coverage of global cellular networks while delivering outstanding performance and the industry's smallest form factor. The RF7501C includes multi-band multi-mode PAs, switches, filters and duplexers, and full support for carrier aggregation, advanced power tracking and envelope tracking. With a compact 7.0x7.5x1mm size, the RF7501C is claimed to be the industry's smallest integrated RF front end solution, delivering a 35% reduction in board area compared to discrete solutions.
