The LBC+ series of RF chokes, suitable for currents of up to 4450mA at saturation currents of up to 7700mA, has been released by TDK. According to the company, this is an increase of up to 80% compared to previous versions. The chokes, which provide inductance values from 1.0 to 470µH, are manufactured in both axial and radial types.

While both the B82144F2 axial choke and B82144B2 radial choke feature a length of 9.2mm and a diameter of 6.5mm, the B82144B2 also features a lead spacing of 5mm. For protection against the environment, the chokes are offered with a flame-retardant enamel coating. The chokes are also marked for identification with colour rings to IEC 60062.

Due to their high current capability, the chokes are suitable for noise suppression and as storage chokes for DC/DC converters. Suitable applications for the chokes include industrial and telecommunications installations, LED and energy-saving lamps and consumer electronics devices. The chokes, which are RoHS-compatible, operate from -55 to +125 °C.
