Rakon Develops TCXOs With Superior Phase Noise Performance

Rakon, a world leader in the development of frequency control solutions, has developed the fully integrated RTX-A TCXO. This TCXO offers typical phase noise of -154dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset for a 50 MHz TCXO.

The RTX7050A TCXO (7.0 mm x 5.0 mm) and RTX5032A TCXO (5.0 mm x 3.2 mm) employ an analogue IC for both the oscillator and temperature compensation.

Frequencies are available from 5 to 52 MHz. With exceptional frequency stability down to ±0.1 ppm, the RTX-A series is available over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

Both the RTX7050A or the RTX5032A TCXOs are ideal when low phase noise is critical for your next requirement. Suitable for use in microwave communications including ODUs and IDUs, as well as LTE femtocells and smallcells, IP timing, base station, DSL/ADSL, Handset, Precision GPS, SONET/SDH, WiMAX/WiBro, and WLAN applications.

Both TCXOs feature excellent phase noise performance and temperature stability. Clipped sinewave or CMOS output options are available. Depending on the application’s requirements, frequency slope and perturbation specifications can be customized.
