Pasternack Enterprises has today announced new 18 GHz ZMA adapters which are ideal for military and industrial applications that require small-footprint, yet highly durable RF components. Precision SMA to ZMA adapters from Pasternack are coaxial adapters that operate to 18 GHz and are available in 3-Lug and 4-Lug keyed attachment designs to ensure proper system connections are made.

The bayonet-style coupling nut (locking mechanism) on the ZMA is similar to that on a BNC connector and can be easily mated and de-mated by hand with a one-third or one-quarter turn respectively, without the need for special tooling such as a torque wrench. These between-series ZMA adapters are available in configurations including SMA Female to ZMA Jack, SMA Female to ZMA Plug and SMA Male to ZMA Jack in both 3-Lug and 4-Lug designs and are compatible with any standard SMA or ZMA interface.

Pasternack’s ZMA series adapters are constructed with a passivated stainless steel body and have gold plated Beryllium Copper (BeCu) contacts. The ZMA connector design offers consistent and stable RF performance in harsh mechanical environments such as antenna systems fielded in extreme vibration environments with insufficient room for spring loaded blind-mate panels. ZMA adapters from Pasternack offer VSWR as low as 1.15:1 and are built in accordance with Mil-G-45204 standards and are also RoHS / REACH compliant.

“Our new ZMA adapters are designed for test applications requiring superb RF performance up to 18 GHz. This addition to our adapter offering provides our customers with a fast and reliable method for testing ZMA connectorized hardware,” comments Steve Ellis, Interconnect Product Manager at Pasternack Enterprises.

The new ZMA adapters from Pasternack are in-stock and available now.
