Distributor RFMW is now stocking SiTime MEMs resonators. They are designed to replace 4-pin SMD crystal resonators in demanding applications such as automotive, industrial, and enterprise equipment.

The devices provide excellent stability over a wide temperature range, greater reliability, reduced BOM, and ease-of-design.

With short lead times and the elimination of design issues related to quartz crystal resonators such as cold startup, EMI problems, the need for motional impedance (ESR) and negative resistance testing at every design and layout cycle, these active resonators greatly reduce time-to-market.

The need for parallel resonant XTAL tuning capacitors is also eliminated. And as an active device, they can drive two clock inputs, further reducing component count.

Typifying performance, the SiT 1408BI-11-18N-26.000000 operates at 26 MHz, with an all causes stability of 20 ppm over -40 to 85C in a 2.5 x 2.0 mm package.
