The gain equalisers are available in six slopes and are footprint interchangeable for optimising module gain flatness of 1-3.5dB. Solderable terminations are compatible with solder SMT and conductive epoxy assembly and pick and place equipment. No ground connection is required. They are also available in tape and reel packaging for high volume applications, with engineering kits being offered which contain all six slope part types.
Knowles’ gain equalisers employ monolithic construction with a precision thin film conductor and resistor films together with proprietary high dielectric constant ceramics for superior RF performance repeatability. Integrated R and C values are realised to produce the desired gain slope. The miniature thin film gain equalisers also have a microwave frequency response which can be modelled by the simple parallel R-C circuit.
