Typical applications include SONET, Ethernet, broadband access, microprocessors/DSP/FPGA, industrial controllers, test & measurement equipment and fibre channel.
Offering frequencies from 40 to 200MHz, the HPK5361/5761 feature differential PECL square wave output logic and operate from a 2.5 or 3.3V power supply. Devices capable of operating over commercial (-10 to +70°C) and industrial (-40 to +85°C) temperature ranges are available with frequency stability of ±25, ±50 and ±100ppm for each.
Additional specifications include start-up time of 3ms typical, 10ms maximum, ageing of ±3ppm per year maximum and duty cycle of 50% ±5% measured at 50% of waveform.
HPK5361 PECL oscillators are housed in a standard 5 x 3.2 x 1.2mm surface mount package while the HPK5761 components measure 7 x 5 x 1.8mm. Both parts are supplied on 16mm tape, 8mm pitch, 180mm diameter reel, 1,000 pieces per reel and are capable of withstanding reflow soldering temperatures up to 260°C for 10 seconds maximum, two cycles maximum.
