GaAs MMIC switch controls signals from DC to 4GHz

Availability and full design support capabilities for a GaAs MMIC switch from Analog Devices have been announced by distributor Richardson RFPD. The HMC784AMS8GE is a high-power SPDT switch in an 8-lead MSOPG package for use in transmit-receive applications that require very low distortion at high input signal power levels.

The switch can control signals from DC to 4GHz and provides exceptional intermodulation performance of greater than +60dBm third order intercept at +5V bias.

On-chip circuitry allows single positive supply operation from +3Vdc to +8Vdc at very low DC current with control inputs compatible with CMOS logic families.

The 10 W SPDT switch is suitable for cellular/4G infrastructure, automotive telematics, mobile radio, and test equipment applications.
