Downconverting mixer allows on the fly gain settings

Design and sales support for a versatile, wideband mixer from Renesas (IDT) has been announced by distributor RFMW.

The F1192B downconverting mixer offers dual-paths for MIMO radios operating between 400 and 3800 MHz.

Four, user-controlled gain settings can be selected on-the-fly for dynamic gain adjustment, a patented technology providing maximum performance and flexibility at minimum power consumption.

The device can function with as little as -6 dBm LO power and features independent channel shutdown modes for ease of integration into high order TDD MIMO systems.

IF range is 50 to 600 MHz and the device is housed in a 4 x 4 mm TQFN package.
