Three new crystal series, which follow the trend towards the usage of smaller size crystals have been launched by Epson. They are available at distributor Rutronik. The new 2.0x1.6mm size TCXO/VC-TCXO series TG2016SBN contains the built-in 2nd generation of Epson internal IC. It is the TCXO with the lowest cost offered by Epson due to re-engineered package and cost optimised production.

This series covers a supply voltage range of 1.7V - 3.63V as well as the industrial temperature range of -40°C - +85°C.

It is ideal for applications like navigation, asset tracking and other frequency sensitive applications.

Measuring only 1.6x1.00mm, the new FC1610AN kHz crystal series is the smallest kHz crystal offered by Epson.

It has a frequency of 32.768kHz and can be used in any space critical application.

The small size MHz crystal series FA2016AN in 2.0x1.6mm case size comes with its own developed ceramic package.

It is available for frequencies from 24MHz to 54MHz. Compared to the equivalent Epson MHz crystal series FA-128, the FA2016AN series is cheaper and its production and cost is less dependent from ceramic package suppliers.

It is suitable for space critical consumer or industrial applications.
