Common mode choke reduces noise in high frequency ranges

To reduce common mode noise in the high frequency range on data and signal lines, Wurth Electronics has introduced a common mode choke with a wide attenuation bandwidth. The current compensated choke combines with a NiZn core, enabling a broadband attenuation response that operates into the GHz frequency range.

Compared with the 0805 design in the WE-CNSW HF series, the 0504 package attains a low differential mode insertion loss even at 10GHz. Therefore, when using the common mode choke, it is possible to filter even high speed data and signal lines without having significant impact. Through a featured winding technology, the choke carries twice the current of the 0805 design. As well as this, component connections are gold plated, preventing corrosion and enabling solderability in the reflow soldering process.
