Ceramic resonators offer mechanical load capacity advantage

Schukat has extended its range of Frequency Control Products (FCPs), introducing five radial wired ceramic resonators from Red Frequency’s IR ZTTMG and IR ZTTMT ranges. Ceramic resonators possess clear advantages in terms of size, mechanical load capacity and price, thus making up for the better frequency stability and accuracy of a classical quartz oscillator.

These advantages make them the first choice for simpler applications and filter circuits, in particular. The resonators in the MG series are available in 3.58, 4 and 6MHz, and the two MT models in 8 and 12MHz versions – thus covering the entire frequency range from 3.58 to 12MHz. Because of the high-quality raw materials used in the production of the piezoelectric ceramics, these Red Frequency components demonstrate especially good electrical properties.

All versions achieve frequency stability of ±0.5% with outstanding temperature stability of ±0.3% in an operating range from -25 to +85°C. In terms of aging rate for ten years, too, they score well, with both types demonstrating just ±0,3% tolerance, thus ensuring reliable functionality over a long period. Both of these ceramic resonator series are now available direct from Schukat stock.
