The product range of PETERMANN-TECHNIK includes a 40 MHz fundamental quartz oscillator in a 5.0 x 3.2 x 1.2 mm ceramic package, with a supply voltage of 1.8 VDC, which is especially adapted to the Atheros WLAN 802.11n IC AR9220-AC1E-R (2.4 / 5GHz 2x2 IC AR9220 Processor MAC/BB/Radio for WLAN BGA337).

The series SXO18-05032 SMD-fundamental quartz oscillator produced in very large quantities in clean rooms is available optionally with a frequency tolerance of +-18 or +-20 ppm. A great product advantage of the fundamental oscillator design is that it offers much better phase noise and jitter values in comparison with an oscillator design, which uses a PLL to create the frequency. The low-cost/high-performance Atheros WLAN-SMD-oscillator has a welded Kovar lid, which guarantees long-term data stability and the highest possible degree of dependability for the user.

Naturally, global logistics concepts are possible. The list of services of the specialists of PETERMANN-TECHNIK also includes circuit development, circuit analyses, circuit simulations, matching tests (adaptation of quartz crystals and oscillators to IC’s), etc. SMD-oscillators in a 5 x 3.2 mm ceramic housing are available in a frequency range of 1.0 – 125.0 MHz in the entire temperature spectrum from –40/+105°C
