Switch solutions to be showcased at Engineering Design Show 2018

EAO will be showcasing its latest human machine interface, motion control and cooling products on Stand No F20 at the Engineering Design Show, together with CAN-bus keypads, displays, joysticks, encoders and rotary switches from Grayhill and cooling fans, stepper motors and drivers from Sanyo Denki. Visitors to the Stand will be able to see the latest additions to EAO’s range of customised HMI enclosures including the new Smart Box, a compact IP67 sealed module enclosing switches and/or E-Stops.

Smart Boxes come pre-wired to M12 connectors and are available in panel or DIN rail mounting options. The company’s Series 45 range of metal or plastic bodied industrial switches will also be featured and visitors will be able to examine samples of the new, compact IP69K jet-wash-proof Series 61 Emergency Stop switches especially designed for use in ultra-harsh environments.

Grayhill Innovations: The updated Grayhill range of ruggedised illuminated keypads, joystick and touchscreens are ideal for vehicle and other CANbus enabled applications.

Visitors to Stand F20 will be able to see EAO’s application specialists demonstrate the company’s ruggedised 5-, 7- and 10.4in LCD displays, its new HE proportional joysticks and low profile 6- to 15-way keypads and the Touch Encoder, an innovative and intuitive interface that can replace; pushbuttons, keypads and rotary switches.

The Touch Encoder combines a LCD touch screen and a rotary encoder within a stylish, IP67 sealed panel-mounted unit. The software development kit features built-in widgets and graphics which users are able to can be update via an app.

Sanyo Denki Motion Control and Equipment Cooling: EAO will feature the new Sanmotion SF 42mm hybrid stepper motors that offer up to 10% higher holding torque, 3dB(A) less noise and 2.4% higher efficiency.

Visitors will also be able to explore the positioning and closed loop control improvements delivered by the optical encoder built into Sanyo Denki’s new 2H stepper motors.

And engineers designing equipment for use in demanding environments shouldn’t miss seeing Sanyo Denki’s IP rated centrifugal fans, available in sizes up to 225 x 99mm and its forward/reverse fans that withstand operation temperatures of between -40 to + 85ºC.
