The G6Q relays from Omron have been developed for their robustness and stability in the smallest of spaces. They are available at www.rutronik24.com

As the replacement of the Omron G8P, they come smaller with the same footprint.

With a switching current of 36 A @ 250 VAC, 10,000 switching operations are possible, and with 30 A @ 250 VAC even 100,000.

The main area of application is the AC safety shutdown in EV chargers with high output power, which is needed for shorter charging times.

They are also used in other safety-related applications such as ground and air heat pumps, lifts and lifts, and ventilation and temperature controllers.

By reducing the voltage applied to the coil after the nominal voltage has been applied for 100 ms of relay operation, the current consumption is reduced to a low 12 % compared to the nominal consumption of the coil, and thus to 35 % of the nominal voltage of the coil.

The monostable relays are available with a coil voltage of 12 V and a coil resistance of 102.9 Ω, as well as 24 V voltage and 411.4 Ω resistance.

Other features include:

  • 10 kV impulse withstand voltage (between coil andcontacts)
  • Operating ambient temperature 85°C
  • Complies with cULus, EN and CQC requirements
