Super bright LEDs light up range of applications

Super-bright reddish-orange, green and yellow versions of Kingbright’s most popular through-hole and SMD-LEDs are now available at distributor TTI. The super-bright reddish-orange has a dominant wavelength of 625nm, the super-bright green a dominant wavelength of 525nm and the super-bright yellow a dominant wavelength of 590nm.

Amongst the LED series now available in these new super-bright versions are the SMD-LED series KP-1608 (0603 package), KP-2012 (0805 package), KP-3216 (1206 package), KPTD-3216 series (1206 dome lens package) and KA-3528 series (PLCC-2 package). Also available are the right-angle SMD-LED series KPA-1606, KPA-2106 and KPA-3010, plus the through-hole LEDs in 3mm (L-7104 series) and 5mm (7113 series).

Further technical details of the reddish-orange SEK-J3 series components include a forward voltage of 2,2V – max. 2,8V, luminous intensity as per CIE127-2007 standard, up to 6.000mcd for through-hole LEDs, and up to 450pcs for SMD-LEDs.

The green ZGK series devices feature a forward voltage of 3,3V – max. 4,1V, luminous intensity as per CIE127-2007 standard, up to 12.000mcd for through-hole LEDs, up to 2.100mcd for dome-lens SMD-LEDs, and up to 500pcs for SMD-LEDs.

Yellow SYK-J3 series LEDs benefit from a forward voltage of 2,0V – max. 2,5V, luminous intensity as per CIE127-2007 standard, up to 6.000mcd for through-hole LEDs, up to 1,700mcd for dome-lens SMD-LEDs, and up to 450pcs for SMD-LEDs.

The super-bright reddish-orange, green and yellow LED series have been designed for applications such as indication, signalisation, network devices, consumer electronics, medical equipment, hand-held products, as well as icon/text indications.
