Multimedia keyboard from Cherry

Cherry’s new VARIO-KEY Multimedia keyboard – a part of the CyMotion series – has ten laterally positioned XPress keys that can be individually programmed and clearly labelled using the Label Designer software, enabling the user to create a unique set of key functions. These specialist keys are in addition to the standard board configuration, and 19 others that are designated for multimedia management or internet use.

Using Linux-compatible KeyM@n software, included with delivery, the ten XPress keys can be quickly and simply configured with chosen commands and then organised according to personal preferences. Keys can be set for text or a range of pictures and graphics from the files located on the computer. Xpress keys are fitted with hinged button caps to protect labels from dirt and friction wear.

The VARIO-KEY comes with an adapter for use with the computer or notebook and is suitable for PS/2 interfaces and when not in use, stands upright to save desk space.
