HDR curved displays with 8K clarity on show at IFA 2017

At the 57th edition of the IFA tradeshow, the brand license partner for Philips monitors, MMD, will demonstrate a range of display innovations. At the exhibition in hall 22, visitors can discover the line-up of Philips curved displays, the power of High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology for improved contrast and colour, resolutions of the future with 8K clarity, and display solutions for professionals. The curved models which will be on display at IFA 2017 will range from 27-49" in size.

The monitors, however, don’t just stand out for being curved – they are packed with a range of features to deliver a colour experience, too: models with Ultra Wide-Color technology, Quantum Dot and HDR will all be available to see at the booth.

One of the special attractions for visitors will be the multiscreen entertainment stations with three 32" curved Philips monitors each, with Quantum Dot and Ambiglow features, allowing visitors to experience first-hand a new level of immersion.

Another sight will be the 43" entertainment and multitasking stations with a range of features: 4K resolution, HDR, Adobe RGB and USB docking functionality.

As 4K moves more into the mainstream, Philips monitors with higher resolution are now on the horizon: 8K. The future 8K UHD resolution has twice the horizontal and vertical resolution of 4K UHD, with four times as many pixels in total.

Visitors can experience the precision of 8K first hand: on show will be an 8K 32" display, which also features an elegant frameless design on all four sides to create an immersive viewing experience.

Other special items that will grab the attention of the seasoned designer, photographer or CAD user are the 31.5" 4K professional display with HDR and USB-C docking and the 31.5" QHD display with Adobe RGB colour range and USB-docking functionality.
