GPEG increases range of new character PLED display modules.

Following the re-introduction of GPEG’s character OLED modules that are direct mechanical, electrical and software replacements for existing character LCD displays; GPEG has increased the flexibility of the character OLED range by introducing COG versions of the original modules 16×2 and 20×2 display modules.

These COG versions are particularly suitable for new designs where space is at a premium. With a maximum thickness of only 2.0mm for both versions the FDO1602COG and the FDO2020COG these modules will fit into the tightest of spaces.

Operating over a wide temperature range of -40 to +70 degrees C all configurations feature a surface brightness of 150cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 10,000:1. On board brightness is controlled electronically in 256 steps. The interface and software requirements for these COG modules remain compatible with LCD module equivalents.

Each of these OLED display modules is available with a choice of yellow or white characters on a black background.

These unique features ensure that existing LCD modules and new designs can now benefit from the OLED features of; high contrast, wide viewing angle, low power consumption and a choice of yellow or white character colours.
