Getac’s UX10 fully rugged tablet delivers high mobile performance
Getac has announced the launch of the next generation UX10, a powerful fully rugged tablet that’s built to thrive in the challenging outdoor environments field service technicians and engineers operate in every day.
Efficient data collection and sharing plays a key role in field services throughout the energy, natural resources, utilities and manufacturing industries. As such, field professionals need a digital device they can rely on to get the job done in all weather conditions, locations and scenarios. The next generation UX10 is designed with that purpose squarely in mind.
Building on the success of Getac’s previous UX10 model, it delivers improved performance, storage, connectivity and rugged reliability in a stylish new chassis, all while retaining the same proven form factor design of its predecessor.
Key features include a 10th Gen Intel Quad-core i5 or i7 processor and PCIe NVMe SSD storage technology, for up to six times faster speeds than SATA SSD. The latest Intel WiFi 6 AX200 module ensures more stable and reliable connectivity in dense or congested environments. In addition, the new UX10 boasts enhanced rugged protection, with MIL-STD-810H certification and drop resistance of up to six foot while in tablet mode for added peace of mind.
The next generation UX10 is also available in a specialist UX10-EX model, which features intrinsically safe technology. The device fully meets stringent ATEX/IECEx standards for use in Zone 2/22 hazardous and potentially explosive environments.
The next generation UX10 is part of the Getac Select program, which combines pre-configured rugged devices, software, accessories and professional services into a series of solutions optimised for individual applications and user groups. Each solution draws on extensive customer feedback and Getac’s deep industry experience to create particularly advantageous combinations of products and services that can’t be found anywhere else as a single offering.
Three key software utilities also available for use alongside the UX10 are Getac’s KeyWedge Barcode Reader Utility, Getac Driving Safety Utility and Getac Device Monitoring System (GDMS).
“At Getac, we combine customer feedback with our domain knowledge and understanding of user applications to develop solutions for the users’ daily challenges. That is the spirit of Getac Select,” says Rick Hwang, President of Rugged & Video Solutions Business Group at Getac. “With the next generation UX10 we have created a mobile solution that offers better productivity and return on investment. For field services professionals in the energy, natural resources and utilities sectors, this means fast, efficient data collection and transmission in a single convenient package.”
