Since the selected or desired host unit does not provide the interface required for the selected display in increasingly frequent cases, a bridge solution is required. The flexBridge module (BM) concept is the solution here.
Each Video Interface has a fixed PIN arrangement and can act as an input or output, depending on the required bridge solution. The half-hole technology (Stamp-PCB) enables simple and direct integration.
The Bridge Module comes with small outline dimensions of 50.0mm x 35.0mm and enables the simplified and flexible installation directly on the host or alternatively on the TFT display side. The concept results in cost-effective Interface Controller Board solution in proven industrial grade quality.
The new HDMI-to-MIPI-DSI BM (Bridge Module) comes assembled on a flexBridge BaseBoard which supports a selection of MIPI-DSI displays. The BaseBoard maps both the mechanical and electrical properties of the required display. These generally include connector type and position as well as specific requirements regarding power-on sequencing and/or backlight.
