Crystal Display Systems are now offering the incredible, rugged and reliable Lumineq Displays. Lumineq a business unit of Beneq, is the world’s premier manufacturer and developer of thin film electroluminescent (TFEL) displays as well as their transparent TASEL displays. Lumineq TFEL non-transparent displays are used in aerospace, mining, marine, military, medical and many more demanding environments. TFEL displays are robust and reliable, and usually used in extreme environments, where traditional displays cannot cope with the conditions.

EL displays are built for demanding conditions including cold, heat, wind, dust, vibration, sunlight and even G-Forces. These electroluminescent panels retain more than 75% of their original brightness after more than 100,000 hours of operation, making them ideal for a long term design.

The technology offers unparalleled image quality in a wide range of challenging visual conditions and applications. The rugged thin film electroluminescent (TFEL) displays do not require heaters or coolers due to the fact that their module performance can be as low as -40°C and as high as +105°C.

Instant-on performance with Instant pixel response over the entire temperature range, and no motion blur.

Despite these vast temperature ranges the displays manage to retain their crisp viewing experience. This viewing experience is enhanced by their 179° vertical and horizontal viewing angles, enabling multi-person and off-axis viewing.

The panels offer high brightness and contrast as well as TFEL’s emissive pixel technology also making small text more legible than LCDs, creating the perfect viewing experience for industrial applications.

Their ruggedness and flexibility is also intensified by their wide dimming range and their 200 G force shock durability and a staggering 250,000-hour mean time between failures (MTBF) for the display glass.

The RoHS II (for worldwide compliance) certified displays are also easy to integrate with a long product life. With their fast response time, small package sizes and low EMI emissions with reduced power consumption which means EL is the perfect choice.

Lumineq TFEL displays are also Electromagnetic compatible as they support the end product in complying with FCC Part 15, Subpart J, Class B and EN55022, Level B, when housed in a suitable enclosure.

Lumineq transparent TASEL displays combine the rugged and reliable build of TFELs with the unique freedom of designing a completely transparent display. TASEL is ideal for consumer electronics, architectural use and other fields where viewing experience and product aesthetics is of paramount importance.

TASEL displays enable you to break the design boundaries of conventional displays. Transparent displays are ideal for high-end applications, where a subtle, modern, sleek look and first-class viewing experience make the product stand out.

The basis of a TASEL, the display glass, is easily customised, it can be drilled or cut to custom sizes to fulfill your design requirements.

TASEL modules are transparent when not in use, and unused areas of the display remain clear as the rest is illuminated. As well as this curved displays and custom shapes are also available fulfilling most design requirements.
