AMX Extends Legendary Modero Touch Panel Functionality to Even More Applications

AMX has extended its now legendary Modero touch panel line with the introduction of the new Modero ‘S’ Series. The perfect complement to the sleek design of the Modero X, the Modero S Series is ideal for more cost sensitive installations such as smaller meeting rooms and for room scheduling applications. And, because it features new AMX SmoothTouch glass overlay technology, the Modero S is also an ideal choice for environments where gloves must be worn.

While its dedicated control, scheduling, 24 bit colour depth, streaming video functionality and other popular Modero features will undoubtedly ensure that the S Series appeals to many, it is also ideal for situations where the touch panel must be operated with direct finger touches as well as indirect touches like a gloved hand, stylus, or prosthetic. The SmoothTouch glass overlay also employs a greater tolerance to electrical noise and, in combining resistive touch and glass into a single overlay, is also more rugged than capacitive touch glass overlays. The Modero S will be available in 10.1”, 7” and 4.3” models in both tabletop and wall mount configurations. It will also feature a new multi surface mount, which allows it to be installed in more diverse mounting surfaces such as glass and granite.

Modero S touch panels also include the popular red and green room availability indicators on either side of the panel to offer a visual indication of a room’s occupancy status. And, taking this to another level, the Modero S indicators feature an elegant light bar for enhanced visibility. A simple scheduling interface is also included to enable users to effortlessly view and create events at the touch panel itself, rather than having to waste time accessing and managing scheduling applications on PCs and mobile devices. Secure mounting options will also be available to discourage theft from lectern or table.
