Designed to proved robustness and superior readability, the Proflat Monitor has been announced by Advantech-GPEG. This 21.5" slimline projected capacitive touch monitor features a 10-point multi-touch projected capacitive touchscreen for a sleek tablet-style feel allowing intuitive pinching, zooming and swiping gestures.

With a 19.2mm profile and aluminium chassis, this monitor is one of the thinnest and lightest on the market. Its 100% flat front makes it easy to seal and clean yet it is built to be extremely rugged and capable of operating in harsh environments. This makes it suitable for medical, automation and industrial applications as well as commercial products.

With a wide viewing angle and typical brightness levels of 300cd/m2 from the long-life LED backlight, the widescreen monitor can be easily read in ambient light conditions and lends itself to both portrait and landscape orientation. It comes with embedded audio, VGA and DVI interfaces as well as an optional mounting stand.

The touchscreen can be fitted with a variety of cover glass options, including Advantech-GPEG’s unique optically bonded and fully customisable edge to edge cover glass, which gives designers the option to integrate the monitor into new or existing products. Anti-glare and anti-reflective coatings can also be added to improve optical performance.
