WirelessUSB-NL also delivers a long operating range of up to 20 meters. The ITON module also integrates a sensor and Cypress’s enCoRe V low-voltage companion microcontroller to provide a complete solution for wireless mice, and it employs an enCoRe II microcontroller for the USB dongle.
The WirelessUSB-NL device features very low active and standby current (less than 1 uA), and it has a closed-loop radio architecture that minimizes signal frequency drift for very robust radio performance. The solution leverages -87 dBm receive sensitivity to enable longer range operation. With the robust interference immunity of Cypress’s WirelessUSB technology, the WirelessUSB-NL device delivers best-in-class performance in the presence of interference from WiFi, Bluetooth, cordless phones, microwaves, and other common sources operating in the 2.4-GHz range.
“Cypress’s WirelessUSB-NL solution provides low power consumption along with superior immunity to RF interference, delivering excellent overall performance to our module,” said Wang Kang, Director for 2.4-Ghz Wireless Market at ITON. “Cypress’s technical support team worked with us to speed development and cut our time to market.”
“ITON’s module offers a complete solution for wireless mice leveraging the combination of our WirelessUSB-NL and enCoRe products,” said Jayant Somani, senior director of worldwide marketing for Cypress’s Data Communication Division. “The design demonstrates the industry-leading battery life, noise immunity, and extended range of Cypress’s portfolio for Human Input Devices.”
WirelessUSB-NL is complemented by Cypress’s enCoRe II and enCoRe V low-voltage, highly integrated microcontrollers, offering manufacturers a single source of supply and support. WirelessUSB-NL also supports Cypress’s AgileHID protocol that allows existing WirelessUSB customers to get started quickly on their designs without any additional effort.
