Designed specifically for embedded applications using ultra-low power and boasting an overall power consumption of just 4W, the new DSL-800LX from Datasound Laboratories has all the features required from a high performance computer.
The fanless module is based on the 500MHz AMD LX800 PCI/104 CPU which gives it an equivalent performance to an 800MHz VIA chip, yet it still achieves minimal power requirements, even when using the 256MB RAM, 3.5” Hard Disk drive and running Windows XP Professional.

Ideal for industrial applications that require no moving parts, the DSL-800LX offers up to 512MB PC3200 (DDR 400) RAM, 4 x USB 2.0, 2 x RS232 serial ports and E-IDE Port, it supports CRT/LCD and IDE Flash Disk, has 10/100 Ethernet and line in, line out audio, all of which is contained in a 90 x 96mm footprint.

In addition to these features, the DSL-800LX is RoHS compliant, has +5V single rail input and PCI-104 expansion capabilities.

Each board is supplied with a complete cable kit at no extra cost and, as an official AMD design partner, Datasound also has access to the BIOS source code to provide BIOS modifications quickly and efficiently.
