Silicon IP components meet IoT power demands

To reduce the power consumption of IoT devices without increasing SoC costs, Dolphin Integration has released a number of Silicon IP components. The CLICK, a library of embedded cells and IP memory, enables users to design logic, memory and mixed-signal islands for all operating modes. The company has also introduced the Power Kit Library of regulation devices, which allows users to design an SoC architecture optimised for low power consumption.

Ultra low-power ADCs, designed for activity tracking or always-on voice detection, have also been released. The company has also introduced MCU cores ranging from 8051 to 32-bit, which are claimed to provide the best trade-off between power consumption and processing power or silicon area.
