Fanless Intel Atom based embedded system from Datasound Laboratories has dual Gigabit Ethernet

A new, low power, fanless computing platform from Datasound Laboratories is designed to withstand the rigours of industrial applications while providing extensive computer power. Packaged in a heavy duty steel chassis with aluminium flutes which act as a heatsink and brackets for wall/bulkhead mounting, the ACS-2663 uses the1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor supported by up to 2GB DDR memory.

A choice of operating systems is available to suit most application requirements. The inclusion of either CompactFlash or a 2.5 SATA HDD bay storage option enables the use of a desktop O/S (i.e. XP Pro), a truly embedded O/S such as XP Embedded (free pre-installation included) or any other x86 operating system.



High speed networking is catered for by two 10/100/1000 LAN ports while other connections are catered for by the four USB 2.0 Ports suited for a range of add on peripherals, two RS232 ports (one 422/485) and independently driven CRT/DVI graphics interfaces. PS2 keyboard and mouse,line in, line out and MIC in are standard



Measuring 225mm x 204mm x 80mm and weighing 4.5Kg, the ACS-2663 uses an 11-32VDC input voltage and has a stated operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C.



For installations requiring application specific expansion, another new model in the DSL range of Box PCs, the ACS-2664 provides all the features of the ACS-2663 plus a PCI slot.
