WIN Enterprises has announced the PL-84020 a 2U rackmount, high-performance networking system that supports dual AMD EPYC 7003/7002 (Milan/Rome) processors. Based on AMD’s new Zen 3 CPU, the unit delivers breakthrough performance. The CPU supports up to 64 processing cores, a 256MB cache and 128 PCIe Gen 4 lanes.

Features

  • Supports dual AMD EPYC 7003/7002 (Milan/Rome) processors
  • Eight channel DDR4 3200MHz memory, up to 4TB
  • Eight PCIe x8 for Network Expansion Module
  • Two 2.5”HDD/SSD, 2x M.2 2280
  • Optional support for IPMI card with VGA

The high-performance platform supports eight channels of DDR4 RDIMM (up to 3200MHz) and maximum memory capacity up to 4TB per socket. With 64 forward facing PCI Express Gen 4 lanes, PL-84020 supports up to eight Network Expansion Modules; multiple Ethernet module bays for flexible port configuration such as 1/10/25/40/100 Gigabit fibre, copper with BYPASS function or not.

The maximum capable Ethernet port is up to 64x 1GbE, up to 64x 10GbE, up to 32x 25GbE, up to eight 100GbE ports. The 8x PCIe Gen4 x8 Expansion bay flexibly supports newly designed two 2.5” U.2 NVMe SSD tray, and GPU/FPGA add-on card swappable tray. PL-84020 is a computing server for Edge and AI workloads.

The strong IO elements of PL-84020 includes two management ports (i.e., one for management and another for onboard BMC/IPMI functions), a console port, a graph LCD module with keypad (five keys), LEDs for power/ HDD/2 x GPIO. In addition, the PL-84020 supports 2x 2.5” SATA HDDs/SSDs hot-swappable, onboard one mSATA and two M.2 2280 slots for basic network storage applications.
