Further expanding its portfolio of real-time development and runtime software solutions, Quadros Systems now offers the powerful ARM RealView Development Suite (RVDS). As a value added reseller (VAR) in Europe and the Americas. Quadros Systems will sell and support the RVDS development tools as part of an integrated development solution including the company’s RTXC real-time operating system, TCP/IP, USB, file systems, graphical design, simulation and configuration tools and other embedded software.
Earlier this year, Quadros Systems and ARM announced a similar agreement for the Keil™ MDK-ARM development tools. Today, the companies extend their relationship with this expanded VAR relationship. This further knits together two product brands that are synonymous with quality and performance: ARM and RTXC.

Demand for processors based on the ARM architecture is continuing at a rapid growth rate. Semicast has estimated that ARM processor shipments were more than 4 billion units in 2008 and growing to 7 billion annual units in 2014. Electronics.ca Publications has forecast that sales of ARM processors will outpace Power Architecture and x86 to become the leading embedded processor architecture by 2011. Developers building the systems using these ARM processors need advanced development tools and real-time software to be successful.

ARM RealView Development Suite offers the best in class ARM C/C++ compiler and the most advanced debug technology available today for developing software on ARM processors. RTXC development and run-time software provides highly efficient, real-time performance. Together, ARM tools and RTXC software deliver a powerful advantage for developing applications on ARM processors.

“The relationship with Quadros Systems enhances our ability to support the growing embedded market. Quadros focuses on smaller, deterministic systems applying an extensive product portfolio and superior technical expertise, said Mark Onions, director of marketing, System Design Division, ARM . Together we can support the emerging opportunities addressed by our Cortex™-M and Cortex-R series processors.”

Stephen Martin, VP of sales and marketing at Quadros Systems added: “Embedded developers are looking to ARM to provide the processor technology and tools for their next generation products and platforms. The partnership with ARM and their industry leading development tools allows us to provide end-to-end support for real-time application development ―tools, software and support―helping ease the pain of increasing system complexity and shrinking development cycles.”
