PowerScale allows optimization of software for embedded systems regarding power consumption. To achieve this, PowerScale makes use of the new ACM technology (ACM = Active Current Measurement) that enables measurement of power consumption related to the processed program.
With PowerScale current and voltage can be measured at up to 4 power domains in parallel. The ACM technology allows error-free current measurements from 200nA to 1A. The measurements can be set in reference to selected events of the application by an additional linking to the microcontroller. This is the only way to optimize the software for the most economical use of energy in different areas.
Thanks to PowerScale’s intelligent scoring methods not only the consumption of the embedded system can be optimized but also a reduction of the power supply can be achieved. This makes PowerScale unique and optimal for future challenges concerning power consumption.
